Mask
Unit 5
For my mask, I started by wedging clay and putting into one of the face molds that we have outside. Once I got everything smooth and even I started to add the decorations. I was going for an underwater/ ruin mask. Once I got the design I like I fired and glazed it. The only thing I would change is that I wish I would have put more time into the glazing process rather than speeding through it.
Alebrijes
For my alebrijes project I started by getting some clay and molding it into an eel-like shape. Once I got the shape that I liked I added the jersey, then the fins after. It took a while to get everything the way I wanted but after that was done it was ready for glazing, I decided that I wanted to do a Shaq jersey and name my fish Shakoi O'Neill. Overall I really like how this piece turned out and the only thing I would change is maybe putting more work into the jersey.
Choice project
For my choice project, I decided to make a dinosaur. I started by molding the body shape and then once I had the body that I liked I started to make the legs. This part was really challenging because the legs did not want to stick to the body. Once that was done I fired it and glazed it green.
