Handles on a piece
Unit 4
For my Handles on a Piece, I started by throwing a mug on the kick wheel. Once I had a shape that I liked, I let it harden slightly over night, then I slipped and scorned a handle on it. Overall I like how this piece turned out, the only thing I would change would be the shape of the mug in general.

Series of 4
.jpg)
For my series of 4, I started by splitting a mold of clay into four different pieces. Then, I molded each piece into a small plate and let it dry overnight. The next class period, I put underglaze on each piece and fired it
Lidded box

For my lidded box, I started by molding a slab of clay into a box shape Once I had that done, I made a matching lid for it. This project was a lot more simple and a little rushed, and I wish I spent more time on it.
Monster
For my monster, I started by wedging my clay and molding it into the body. I then slipped and scored the arms and legs on, due to them being separate and complex parts. Once it was fired, I quickly glazed it to be done in time for the expo. I wish that I was able to take more time on the glazing to make it look better.
2d work made 3d
For my 2d work, I started by making a bowl using the kick wheels outside. Once I had a shape that I liked, I fired it and made a clear glaze coat over it. Once it dried, I took it home and used acrylic paint and tried to recreate Van Gogh's Starry Night painting. All in all I liked how this piece turned out and wouldn't change anything about it.
